My phrase for the day is “sassy anhinga” thanks to this little collection of stories that I picked up at the beginning of summer.
I found myself sitting on the couch in-between my children being asked:
“Dad, What’s a sassy anhinga?”
Keep in mind, I was a Boy Scout, and yes, I did pass all my college English classes… yet I had no idea what an anhinga is.
An anhinga is the only darter bird that lives in North America.
Good to know. I have probably seen several of them and not realized what I was seeing. I’m going to call my wife a “sassy anhinga” when she gets home and see how see reacts.
